Heads and wires are newer and in excellent condition. The hoops look quite nice, but do have some light pitting. The lugs and seamless shell have no dents or pitting and shine up nicely. Overall, it is in beautiful condition and plays great. Such as die cast hoops, parallel strainer system, seamless steel shell(heavy) one-touch muffler and 10 lugs. This one measures 5" X 14" and has all the great King Beat details.
These are incredible sounding drums that are built with quality. This one is a King-Beat model and dates to the late 70's or very early 80's. Here is a great sounding AND looking Tama Imperialstar snare drum. It is still pretty good looking though! Everything works perfectly. NICE PLAYER! It has some pitting on the shell(not museum piece) I tried to show it on the pictures the best I could. The"Mastercraft" Tama Imperialstar model with the parallel-action strainer is sensitive, but NOT as sensitive as it gets with the 42 strand wires, and it is annoying to hit your knees with the sides of the snare when you are playing live, there's no reason whatsoever to pay more for the exact same shell and hoops if the drum doesn't sound as good and is annoying to play, IMO. very"in your face" kinda sound, great projection that will cut easily through the loudest guitar amp.and also very, very sensitive! This is the ONLY snare of this kind here on ebay that comes so well and nicely setup.
